The Museum of Innocence

The Museum of Innocence is a novel by Orhan Pamuk, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature. Set in Istanbul between 1975 and the present, it tells the story of Kemal, a wealthy man who becomes obsessed with a poor shopgirl named Füsun, and his collection of objects that commemorate their love. The novel is both a love story and a portrait of Turkish society as it modernizes.
