Renjian Cihua

Renjian Cihua (Poetic Remarks in the Human World) is a masterpiece of literary criticism by Wang Guowei. Influenced by Western aesthetics, Wang combined his deep knowledge of Chinese classics to propose the influential theory of 'jingjie' (realm/concept). His famous three realms of achieving great endeavors and scholarship are articulated in this work.
