Abdulrazak Gurnah

Abdulrazak Gurnah (born 20 December 1948) is a Tanzanian-born British novelist and academic. He was awarded the 2021 Nobel Prize in Literature for his "uncompromising and compassionate penetration of the effects of colonialism and the fate of the refugee in the gulf between cultures and continents." He is the author of novels such as Paradise, By the Sea, Desertion, and Afterlives.
